YJ brake line swap—how to remove upper nut?

Evening all, I’m having some trouble removing the bottom nut on the hardline of my front brakes where it goes into the softline. I’m swapping the OEM soft line to some YJ lines, and can’t seem to get the nut off (without feeling like it’s stripping). @mrblaine Any advice?

Are you talking about the tube nut on the hard line that goes into the end of flex hose?

Yes. On mine it is being very difficult (to the point of feeling like stripping out)

Use a line wrench, if it rounds off the hex, break out the vise grips. You can try some heat but brake fluid is flammable so be careful.

We generally don't stand even a tiny chance of breaking them loose with an open end. Just fucks them up.
