YJ not able to shift out of 4th gear

So got a '92 yj manual, driving it down the road and shifted into 4th gear and as soon as i did that it is now stuck in 4th. Jeep still starts with clutch and all but now just cant shift out of gear nobmatter how hard I try. Is the transmission bad or possibly just the gears
 
Sounds to me like you've got a transmission problem. Likely a blown synchro. I'd take it to a transmission shop for a free estimate, as my guess is the transmission has gone out.
 
New update on not being able to unshift, apparently the shifter is in 4th and wont move but the jeep is still in neutral, I am now baffled
 
Hmmm, sort of sounds like it could be shifter related as in the shift linkages. I'm not familiar with YJs, but I would take things apart and check them out.
