Arizona Rock Crawler

Does the longer shaft play in here? It seems like there would be more torsional stress on it due to the length.
All other things being equal, the longer shaft will survive a higher applied torque input due to torsional wind up. Or put another way, it will twist further without failure than the short side will.

It's the only way most of us can keep up with @starkey480 anyways.

It's not to far off course though. Until I bought my Jeep, I was happy just to watch video's of people breaking stuff. Was a lot cheaper than breaking my own stuff. Somehow, I got the urge to go and experience it for myself.

I dream of the day I can finally be on the trail again. But for now @starkey480 will have to do.

Great video! When I was shopping for a TJ, I really wanted an automatic transmission. Makes it so much easier to negotiate obstacles. Automatic transmissions for the win!
I started my search for a manual then some experienced people said get an auto, I'm glad I listened.

I had wheeled both and while the auto was better, the manual was more fun on the street so that’s what I got. I regretted that decision in short order once I started crawling with the big boys.

For those with a manual, a 4:1 TC is so much better than 2.7:1. All the manuals I wheeled were rubicons until I bough mine and it made a huge difference.
