What did you do to your TJ today?

Rotated the tires yesterday. Wheels were brake dusty... Bath time today!

Upgraded all the old power wiring. Some of the connections were looking pretty bad in the factory terminals, and there was some cracking on some of the insulation. Figured good time to upgrade. New, larger wiring throughout. Also, the "military" style terminals are awesome. Easy to add onto in the future. Pretty easy job to do.

I am about to do this as well (in addition to the same battery)
Curious why you wouldn't take the third positive lead (the one with the black shrink wrap) and put it on the inside of the positive terminal ?? That would let the lead lay flat rather than stick up straight. No?

Nice! I upgraded all my main cables last year and it made a big difference in how fast the jeep cranks over.

Honestly, didnt even think about it. I just had a plan in my head and went with it. But ya, that would look better. I might change it around when I add in accessory power for relay panel and for amplifier.

Just like so many of you, I installed the Novak transfer case cable linkage today. I’m going to say that I have a body lift and motor mount lift and (I know I will catch shit for this) the shifting feel was only slightly improved. Not worth the cash imho, perhaps for others. But hey, I have something shiny underneath now!!

I finally decided to drop my gas tank to fix the early click off issue when filling up. I also used this opportunity to grind down the back edge of the skid plate to allow it to shift back a little further.

For the first time in 3 years I was able to set the gas pump on full and let it go until it clicked off perfectly. No backsplash or early shutoff. What a wonderful thing!

Also got my exhaust tucked up as high as possible with the least amount of effort.

And lastly got the first part of my derale trans cooler installed. Just have to run the lines and then that’ll be finished.

Great day of working on the Jeep.

Had a nice 3 hour drive (work) after the snow ended and the ice started. Snow plows did a good job of piling up the snow and blocking the side roads. Ice on top of snow makes for some fun moments on steep downhills.

How much did you get up there, Boog? We got about 7” out of that storm down here, which is unusual.
