Whats up guys, who here has swapped their NSG370 for an AX-15? Been doing research to swap mine in my 05' TJX to a AX-15 since they are a lot cheaper than the NSG370, and they have a better rep from what I have read. If you have done this swap, can you list the parts that were needed for the swap? And any tips and tricks. Thanks in advance!

Haven't done one but I know there was a recent thread on this...

Basically, get the Advanced Adapters bellhousing so you can keep your 05-06 flywheel and crank sensor and it's a bolt-in affair.

I would expect some possible mixing and matching in the flywheel, pressure plate, clutch disc and pilot bearing, if those parts changed between one transmission and the other. Pretty sure you need to keep the flywheel for the NSG since that's what the crank sensor is reading. Don't know about the pilot bearing, pressure plate and clutch disc.
If you get the proper 05-06 bellhousing from AA, you keep the 05-06 flywheel (which is needed due to odd spacing of the sensor notches). I do think you need a new 0.75" pilot (just the standard AX/NV pilot). I found a good write-up somewhere on this, I'll see if I can find it.

The clutch is the same across all 4.0 models including the pilot bearing. The fancy bellhousing from AA allows you to run the stock NSG crank sensor to stay with the adapted AX15 which communicates with the stock 05-06 flywheel, well, like stock. Since the clutch never changed between any of those models, you can bolt up everything else like it was stock once you have that bellhousing. The clutch release and all of that related stuff is the same year to year so none of it needs to be messed with. Just need an external slave AX15 and the AA bellhousing, and of course whatever else you want to do while you're in there, like a clutch or whatever else. Luk gold clutch seems to be pretty darn good.
