What do I need to do to put 35s on a stock Wrangler TJ?

When I bought my jeep from my dad it had 31x10.5s on it and it looked pretty good IMO. Fast forward 2 years and I'm in the rabbit hole of trying to run 33s the right way. (Please don't hate for the Patagonia's Purchased before seeing all the disapproval in this forum 😅 )

Put on 31s (they will probably rub a bit at full lock), and get a cable shifter for the transfer case (Everyone should have it). Drive it like that for awhile. If you aren't on difficult trails or offroad at all for that matter the 31s will be great and you won't break the bank.

Our LJ is stock with 31's. It's a fine ride and an excellent look for a Jeep that totally LARP's and never leaves pavement. 😅

For real no one bats an eye if a f250 has like 30s or something but a TJ apparently needs 35s and a LJ needs 37s just to "look right".
I think my TJ looks great with the 31's. I am getting more issues with the 31's going through the ruts that the 37+ crowd are leaving now, so am being forced to jump to 33's for a little more ground clearance and width.

33x10.50's. All of the height, without the weight of the chungus 12.50" wide tires.

My advice is read and study before you make any purchases...you will lose your ass trying to sell installed lift components that you removed because they were the wrong choice. Buy once, cry once do it right the first time. Welcome to the forum

You can do it. But tbh as most people in this forum would say Rough country might be a cheap choice, but it is definitely not a quality one.
Most would say it's garbage. IMHO, I wouldn't use it in my daily driver. It's your vehicle so it's your choice.
I don't know your budget, but I believe than buy once cry once is a good philosophy.
If I were you, I would give it a little bit of time to think about how I want to build my TJ, and why. Also, read some threads in this forum, which is quite useful. Why do you want to run 35s ? You might be able to do everything you want with 33s or even 31s. It's only about looks? Ride quality matters for you?
I really like the the way the jeep looks with 35s on it. 33s would work just fine though. I just want to know what exactly I need to do/buy to make my jeep work with 35s. It doesn't need to be super tough, just enough that I don't have to worry about something breaking all of a sudden

Do you have rear dana 44? or dana 35?
