On the LJ, there is a frame brace welded on at the factory just ahead of the driver side forward body mount bracket. From the measurements I've seen, (20.5" ahead of the middle skid bolt) it looks like the new bracket for the mid-arm should be positioned right where that brace is. Is this something that is accounted for when the kit is built, or will I need to remove part of that brace when the front driver side bracket is welded on? Thanks.

Brace stays, mount is cut around it with a large enough gap that you can clean the areas where the existing welds are and get in there with the welder for an appropriate weld.

One more related question if you don't mind.....I'm installing these 1.25" body lift brackets and the one on the front driver side goes where that brace is as well. The plan was to just grind a bit off the underside of the bracket where it overlaps the brace so it remains level. Will this interfere with the mid-arm mount?

Or another way to ask the question is should I wait until the mid-arm bracket is welded on before I install this bracket? I just ordered the mid-arm, so I'm trying to knock out as much as I can until it arrives later this spring. Thanks.

Put the mid arm mounts on first.

And, while you're there, remove that upper mount off the frame for the control arm. Much easier to do now.

What raised mounts are those?

Thanks. Based on the measurements I found, it looks like the rear mounts will need a little adjusting as well.

I’ll cut off everything I can while I have easy access to it.

The mounts are from TNT Customs. I bought these particular ones because they’re 1.25 inches where most I had found were 1”.

Genright raised mounts while advertised as 1" are not, they are 1 1/4".
