What did you do to your TJ today?

Today I was greatly rewarded for driving my TJ…got home from the gym and saw a drip 🤬. It appears my steering box is leaking, I saw where @Jerry Bransford mentioned emptying out the PS fluid and using some Lucas stop leak fluid in there. Going to try that Friday, if anyone else has any experience here feel free to share. The Jeep must have known we were closing in on a year without a mid-level repair being needed šŸ˜‚View attachment 306497
I’m a happy customer of the above. Took about a week for mine to stop, leak free for about 3 months

I picked up the Jeep from the shop. They regeared 3.73 to 4.56 with front and rear lockers while in there.

It drives nice, but there's nothing different to look at; so here's a picture of a Toyota in the parking lot.

I've owned a couple of fj40s. Pretty tough rigs.

Thanks man. Advice is welcome.
I’ve got the other snubber but the kit only came with 4 spacers so I have to make a spacer out of something.

But thanks for reminding me that I need to find a snubber spacer!
I used a hockey puck for a snubber spacer and shaved it down with a razor blade and then shaped it as best as I could with the dremel.

Yes, I found your comment on something from November, worth a shot. I have some small work being done at the shop at the end of the month so they can give it a look over then as well if it hasn’t stopped. I was supposed to hit some trails next weekend, but not super confident I should if it doesn’t seal up.
Mine has the same problem for about 14 months haha.....its a very very small leak tho'. I'm lucky if I get a drop every 3 days.
Its another thing on the winter project list for me...might give that stop leak a go.

The Tuffy tailgate enclosure came today. A warning for anyone who has sound deadened the rear of their Jeep: apparently the enclosure is designed to be a pretty snug fit with just the factory carpet. So when you add in 2 layers of sound deadener, and a bedrug….. let’s just say I finally resorted to a rubber mallet and some swift kicks using the bottom of my shoe to get it to seat properly šŸ˜…šŸ˜…

But it’s in there!!

Pic was taken before I smoothed the side carpet out and cleaned off the shoe prints 🤣🤣
