@Yoda, I found it really helpful to go thru the different write ups and videos a number of times leading up the the "big day." Keep getting familiar with the process (especially the Billa Vista article) and when it comes times to do the install, things will go smoother. Don't hesitate to ask questions either. There are some excellent resources here on the forum.

Those things aren't cheap! I bought some brand new bearings to make my own set up bearings. It's really not very difficult (just takes time) and I saved a lot of money that way.
I never use old bearings for setup. The tolerances (from wear) are just too far off causing you to chase your tail when the pattern isn't the same. I bought a new set of bearings and made my own. You can buy them if you want...I thing ECGS and others sell them.
I didn't say they were cheap and yes I have made all my own setup bearings. I was just posting an option.
Double check behind me but pretty sure those are correct. Rock auto lists in their descriptions Dana 30: front crush sleeve (aka for TJ).
I also found it helpful to watch other regear videos. I’ve watched a few on mustang 8.8s and some on 14 bolts.
Everyone has a slightly different way of doing things and if you sum them all up you get pretty well educated on what to do, and how.
If you don’t want to spend all of that time your best bet is to watch @hosejockey61 regear videos on repeat 3-4 times.

I bought the ECGS setup bearings and have made a pair at home. Both work just fine.
FYI. Looks like the pinion race outer pn migh be off , I cannot find M86620 but I was able to cross reference it to M86610…..using the timken part list it shows pinion tail bearin pin M86649 with race pn M86610. Rock auto parts are a great deal thanks for the help! If I am wrong about this please post up so we can make sure someone gets it correc.

I was wrong on the part number like you mentioned. I have updated the post to reflect the M86610 (not M86620) wrong number originally indicated.
HF unit? Could you give me a part number or link….or do you mean harbor freight? Cause I’m looking at the 12 ton press , But they don’t have it in stock. Figures.

If you are not needing a press very often and do not want the expense of one look around for a machine shop, driveline shop or the like and you will probably find that they will press your bearings for $30-50.
i appreciate the tip, but my better half is ok with it, and I want one! She knows me enough to realize I am going to get my money’s worth! The bigger issue is the room I have in the garage LOL…
Damn, I just looked at their current prices. I bought my 20 ton for $150 out-the-door about 5 years ago. That sucks. It is a good unit, but I think I would be looking for a used one.
