Swapping Poison Spyder to Savvy Sliders

A shot in the dark:

Can anyone tell me if swapping from Poison Spyder sliders to Savvy would end up with a mess for mounting, i.e. would the holes line up, overlap, or other issues?

Looks like Savvy has a few sliders in stock but I don't want to go in blind and end up with regrets. They are not a must.

Don't assume any of the holes will line up between the two. And don't worry about it. Drill new holes. If the new overlaps the old, keep the nutsert over to the side it needs to be.

If the PS sliders are shorter in height than Savvy, then you will have to trim the corners. Hopefully the bolts on the corners aren't too low.

I deleted that question after having a look at them... sheesh.
Edit: the quarter armor is nowhere near the front of the flares so a non-issue. It's not a full qt. panel.

All I see are 5 bolts in the tub and the 3 mounts under the body mounts on the PS.

Looks like I'll need new holes from underneath for the backing plates and whatever is required on the side of the tub.

I'm YouTubing it right now..

Damn YOU @Irun! i had to rush and get the 2nd of 3 in stock since you snagged #1. I hesitated to even mention they were in stock. Gonna have to go back to the 2nd Best Bumper thread to thank whoever it was that told me they were there.
Hey, what's another grand, right?! Cheaper than fixing damage done if I rack up the PS. After looking closely at how the PS are installed I see now how they could cause more damage than they might prevent. Backing plates before lightbars! For the win.

I watched an install video on YouTube. Gal mentioned at the end that they should have had them on before hammering the tub; it was a messed up.

Wonder what I can get for the PS locally.. haha.

Just throwing something out, but have you thought about pulling the PS rockers and trimming them around the body mount?

Honestly, no.

It would require new mounting holes in both the bottom of the tub and the PS sliders. Probably not a big deal. The body mounts are all there is underneath on the PS.
 
Go look at all the holes I had to weld closed on my TJ before I added the Savvy sliders. I had Poison Spyder sliders before. I can't tell you the exact page right now but can go look in a while.

I know, I think I want their control arms, too. But the POs Rubicon Express are still in good shape. Gotta rein this in at some point. Sliders were not exactly an impulse buy, since I had the request in months ago, but when they suddenly popped up today my adrenaline rush tells me otherwise.

If the holes wind up overlapping by 1/2 or less, a 17/32" rotabroach is now your best friend. Make a drill guide out of 1/4" flat bar, 17/32 in the middle of a 5" long piece, two holes one at each end for your favorite self tappers. Center that over the 3/8" hole you drilled through the slider, screw it in place, go in with the rotabroach and it will cut a perfect half hole, quarter hole or whatever is needed to set a new nutsert.

I have a set of Savvy control arms in the garage and am waiting on the skid to come back in stock myself! ;)

Holes on the side of the tub? There are 5. I see zero holes on the bottom of the PS. I'll be crawling around under there some more. Could be I'm overlooking something.
