Long story short. Finally after an extensive ~6 month physical (years mental) search for the "right" Jeep TJ, I scored this 2005 Red Rocky Mountain Edition jeep with 53,000 miles from one of the dealers I was working with who was trying to find me a nice TJ. It got traded in the day before Christmas and the salesman texted me right away as soon as it pulled up. So I had to wait until the day after Christmas to go look at it and then buy it on the spot. Basically from the parking spot the previous owner drove it to when he traded it in. The dealer hadn't even touched it, serviced it, detailed it, listed it or any thing yet.
When shopping for a TJ my criteria was....
1. Hardtop
2. Full doors
3. NOT RED
4. Low miles (as this will be my daily driver until I buy a truck or Gladiator within the year)
...and I ended up with this. However, I quickly became a fan of the soft top and half doors being able to remove them and put back on whenever on a whim. The softtop was SUPER hard to take off and put back on at first because everything is soo tight, I don't think the previous owner (2 owner) ever had it off if at least only a handfull of times. Every time I take it off it gets easier. First time it took me almost an hour to get it back on.
Anyways, I ordered a few little things and everything came in today so I spent a couple hours out in the garage. 75 and sunny, I could ask for better weather because this is Arizona but I won't rub it in that much for you midwestern / northern folks. I'll still take it.
I tossed and turned about starting a build thread thinking maybe I should start a build thread? or nah because I don't have an endless money train coming at this Jeep yet. It's a daily driver for now so I can't put it up on jack stands to install things that take more than a day. But I did get a few of the smaller things that came in today installed. Sorry not sorry for the picture overload.
