Dana 44 parking brake cable

2003 TJ but axle was swapped to Dana 44, by someone else.

Can anyone tell me what parking brake cable I need for a Dana 44 w disc brakes? I am guessing 2003 Rubicon brake cables would be correct?

I don't know what those are from, but they're definitely not the disc brake backing plates from a TJ, and the cable from a factory disc TJ would not work with that.

JK parking brakes. The TJ cables will work or can be made to with a custom mount for the cable housing and bolt the two loops together.

I believe you are correct. Would not have guessed JK.

So if in a TJ, get rubicon cables and loop them and secure them w u bolt or get JK cables? I need both left and right.

The shortest 2 dr JK cables are way too long. TJ Rubi cables have to have a cable housing end mount made and located the correct distance from the spreader loop. Then the rectangular loop on the end of the TJ cable can be attached to the hole in the JK spreader with a small grade 8 bolt and nut.

Before finding out that it is a JK design I was going to say that it looks like a standard brake system from some time back in the days of wooden spoke wheels.

Now that I know what it is, I'm still going to say say that it looks like a standard brake system from some time back in the days of wooden spoke wheels but I will add that I bet it works better now then it did in those days.
