Anybody else experience this? It almost appears to be too short. It goes in OK but there doesn’t seem to be enough tension when it goes in. It doesn’t touch the top at all either. Should it? I am not about a small rattle either it rattle like hell on bumps. I can actually make it rattle by shaking it with the top closed.

FIXED. Just bent the end brackets out a little.

Mine does if I tap it by hand but I don't notice it driving. What i do notice, is that the top starts flapping around 45mph, starts slapping that bow and it feels like being inside Mike Portnoy's bass drum.

I end up just running without it. The only benefit I see from it is preventing water from pooling in that section of the top, but my lj is garaged and almost never sits out in the rain. If I am expecting that to happen I just put the bow on.

Yeah, mine is horrible.

I did two things:

1. I used electrical and wrapped up the ends that plug into the door brackets. Just put a bunch of wraps around the end of the bracket to make it a tighter fit and so it isn't plastic on plastic.

2. I have a rag that when I'm going fast with the doors down I shove between the bar and top. It really reduces the sound.

Thanks guys. Bent the end brackets out a little. Problem solved.

I drove two zippy screws one in each end of mine. It made the 2 end pieces solid now so they do not move around and i have no noise no rattles at all.
