Dropped Fuel Tank

If you have any thoughts of installing an aftermarket rear bumper now is a good time. They usually add more bolts near the recovery points and the other side of the cross member is concealed by the tank and skid.

I would love to but I don't have the money for that right now....

Today my son and I dropped the fuel tank on our 97 TJ, to replace the fuel pump assembly. Any suggestions on things we should address or replace while the tank is out? We're also now going to replace the rear shocks and service the rear.

Perfect opportunity to do rust prevention and replace 4 rear body mount bolts.

Looks like the metal part of your filler is about rusted out. Might want to replace it or make sure there is some metal under the rust

You could spray fluid film inside tub cross braces, and any other cavities.

Funny you mention that. I just watched several YouTube videos on the today and decided I need to spray the inside of the frame with fluid film... Thanks for the input
