An accident... but a welcome addition!

My wife and had made up our minds 100% that after two kids (which we currently have), we were done. Well, low and behold the unthinkable happened and now we have another on the way .

There was a pregnancy test in the bathroom drawer from years ago. My wife was just going to toss it, but she peed on it before she did and it came back positive! Turns out she was 2.5 months pregnant and didn't even know it. Hell, she wouldn't have even known at all had she not taken that test just for fun.

Anyways, both of our minds are kind of blown right now. We were not planning on having another, and this certainly changes the dynamics of the house (going to have to build another bedroom), and it's time to sell the family Subaru and pickup something with a third row (likely a minivan). Of course the TJ always stays since that's a fun toy, not a family hauler.

But wow, we're both really shocked, that's for sure. With two girls, we're both hoping this time it's a boy. That would certainly help me out in the house, considering how outnumbered I am at the moment, haha (3 and me... the only boy)!

We both agreed that after this, one of us is getting fixed!

Awesome! Congrats!! How old are the girls? I have a 3yo little girl. Christmas was a blast this year.

Our daughters are 5 years and 21 months (so almost 2). So dramatic though... I swear our oldest is 5 going on 15, she's just full of drama and emotion

Christmas was fun though. She burst into our room at 7:30 AM screaming "SANTA CAME!!!". It scared the crap out of me cause I was passed out.

There's a fix for this brah, lol! Congrats man. Raised 2 daughters myself, and now have 2 grandsons, so don't be sad if it's another girl, you have a chance for a boy, with benefits.

Congratulations to you and your wife Chris. I have 3 but all grown- no grand kids. Trust me that you want the last to be a boy (saves money when they get married) but you will be blessed either way. Our oldest (a girl) is 31 and a real sweetheart that we adopted from Korea age 5 months. We followed her with 2 boys the old fashioned way. The youngest was the the wildest but is a great 26 year old kid now. The workload seemed to triple with each kid so that with the 3rd it was overwhelming at times but the ride was great and it is so great to have family.:dogpile:

Now money is another matter--I hear a great vacuum firing up :tiburon:

Haha, yes, family is the one thing that makes all the lack of sleep, expenses, and insanity worth it. It's nice to watch your kids grow up and have them around you for the holidays, etc. I think about how much I like being around my family (mother, father, siblings, etc.), so I have to imagine it will be like that for them when they're all grown.

One thing is for sure though, after this, it's going to be time for a vasectomy I think!

Wow man, can't imagine the thoughts going through both of your minds. That is a wild way to find out, and that your almost into the 2nd trimester already. Our first kiddo is 6mo old now and she is keeping us on our toes. Want to wish you both the best and congratulations my friend!
