I recently had a Dana 44 swap done on my TJ. The cable on one side for the parking brake seems to pop off on a regular basis. Any ideas on how to get this to stay put? I've got the parking brake cable tightened to the max at the Y right before the rear axle.

The emergency brake actuating bracket the cable attaches to appears to be bent, but at the angle the picture is taken it is difficult to say for sure.
Does the cable operate freely? Looking at the picture, it appears like there is a fair amount of tension on the spring. If this is true, the cable isn't going to a neutral position when the parking brake is released.
So you think it could be over tightened? I have to really crank the parking brake all the way up to get it to hold. I'll pull it apart again this weekend and get some more picture angles and more info. Appreciate you all chiming in.
I'd be checking the cable for free movement and verifying that the parking brake shoes (under the rear rotors) are in good condition and adjusted properly.
Disk brakes have shoes under the rotors that are used for the parking brake. This is the TeraFlex kit, but the same applies to the stock setup. The rotor is installed over top of this.

Gotcha, I wasn't aware. Guessing I should probably dig into that and see what condition those are in
