Arizona Rock Crawler

It’s an interesting build. You should start your own thread.

Fuck that shit. I did a build thread on a very interesting build. It got 2 pages of interest in 2 years. Chris posted up about how to deal with dusty seat covers after his first wheeling trip in AZ. It got 4 pages of responses in less than a day. I don't do build threads, I sprinkle bits of shit I find interesting here and there like the Easter Bunny. Someone had to go and fuck that all up, so now I do it less, when I feel like it, and only if I find something very interesting or very facetious. Not much middle ground.

I hear ya and appreciate your contributions. I am building a jeep based almost entirely on this forum, much of it from you, and it is turning out really well.

No driveshaft bind at droop so that’s good.

Had to do a little trimming back on the wheel wells for articulation. Here’s full up on articulation.

Here’s a finished wheel well. Can barely tell it’s trimmed

There is light rubbing from the tire to shock body at articulation but not bad. Last night one side was digging in hard but thanks to @rasband for reminding me to check the basics, the axle was just ever so slightly off center and fixing that made the rubbing acceptable. Time to weld these up, but I need to help my wife around this house this weekend so it will have to wait until Monday

You have a way of coming at a problem from innovative and creative ways. What's most interesting is your strategic perspective. These plates are yet another example. It's not just about tucking the skid plate up, but about ensuring that when you do, bad things won't happen later. I really wish there was a way to easily catalog all the sprinklings you do here!

You are like the younger cat I have in my house 😂 She has two modes of operation - 100% energy and 0% down after she depletes her energy .. with no in-between!
It really is on or off for me. Once I start a project, it’s about all my brain can think about until the job is done. At the very least I have been taking weekends off of Jeeps to spend time with Alex and work on the house. Happy wife means more Jeep projects 😃

The Creatures Crawl is this weekend. Put on by Notorious Crawlers. I'll be out there saturday.

What trails?

Table Mesa rd area. Not mush info that I can find. Heard about it from the Wrecked Gear youtube channel. The club is all buggies but the Wrecked people are having a subscriber trail run on saturday. They know I am just a little Jeep so I'll see how it goes.

I believe the club are meeting up at Rock Springs Cafe to stage up.
