Savvy off-road sold? (the unofficial Savvy customer support and Savvy rant thread)

Savvy 2.0, new partners, new management, with one goal; to bring you the best off-road armor products for your vehicle. We are excited to announce that Savvy Offroad has recently been acquired by The Offroad Group. Gearald Lee is still on the board of directors and an active member of the company. The other partners are Jake Glaser and Will Periman, who both have over 15 years of experience in the off-road industry. Jake Glaser will be the CEO and will be heading up sales and inventory management. Will Periman will be heading up operations and all new product development. This acquisition marks an exciting new chapter in the history of Savvy Offroad, and we believe that it will bring many benefits to our customers. As part of the change, we will be rebranding as SAVVY DESIGNZ.

Gerald Lee has spent many years building the company from the ground up and is proud of all that it has accomplished. He is now ready to semi retire

With that on their home page, it is easy for us to be "misinformed" that Savvy has been sold. At the end of the day, I suspect the answer is somewhere in between - like a spin off company for new products.

All depends on your perspective…

So long as i can get a full compliment of savvy products in ten years i don't care who owns it. As it is I'm taking notes and getting ready to plagiarize the shit out of the mid arm should it come to that

I would be surprised if we can get anything but serviceable parts for TJs in another 10 years. I will say that the midarm isn't easy to replicate, but you may have the skills (I am not super familiar with your build). Some of it you can learn from @starkey480 's thread.

It just seems to get a bit more slimy with each bit of info……

It seems very hard to reconcile the various statements made. But I spent a of time in my career being told that when there is a choice between conspiracy and cock-up, then 99 times out of 100 it is cock-up. So my guess is some exceptionally dreadful communication management.

But whether Savvy Designz has bought Savvy Offroad or a spin off partnership / business, it is still a vomit inducing brand.

That obsolescence remark is probably true.🙁

The savvy trusses are easy. Brackets shouldn't be too bad with a few key measurements and some mock up,just labor intensive.

The links are expensive no matter if you build em or buy from savvy. I don't really need a mid arm at my tire size and lift. But I'm still collecting info to be able to do it myself if needed
