I'm post four-inch suspension lift and maybe a month away from a 1 or 1.25 body lift (if Savvy starts making them again...), and I'm looking at that last piece - 35" tires.

I have factory LJ wheels, which are 15", currently running 33s. I'm going to be bummed to lose them, because I'm a bit attached to them. Is there any reasonable way to run 35s on factory 15" wheels? I dig the big sidewall. But I don't think I'm up for spacers.

just use quality spacers and follow the install instructions and torque specs, easy install if not just a bit time consuming.

Lots of us running 1.25-1.5” spacers with 16” rubicon wheels and 35s

I'm on 15" wheels with 35s as are many, many, others. And when you price tires you will find the 35xwhatever-15s are cheaper than 16s and 17s.

One thing to consider is possibly wanting a larger wheel to accommodate bigger brakes. I dont know enough about the pros and cons to write intelligently about that but there is lots of information on this site.

But 15" wheels?

The look never bothered me. I ran stock 15" canyons and 35s with 1.25" spacers with no issues for years.

Having recently moved to a 17" wheel for 35s, I'm finding that the larger wheel is more stable when aired down than my 15s were.

Are there any preferred 15 and or 17in wheels that have the right amount of backspacing and bolt pattern while also looking simple and not like truck bro wheels? Can’t seems to find one that fills all the boxes unless you go beadlocks that seem to have a much bigger variety of specs to pick from.

17" JK Moabs with a 2" adapter. They can even be a beadlock.

Definitely like the looks and with 17s growing It makes sense for 35s. What size adapters are you running to clear the outboards but not have too bad of scrub radius?

JK Moabs have a 6" backspacing. On stock axles and hubs, a 2" thick adapter will result in a 4" backspacing. That is effectively what mine is running.

15x8s with 3.75" of backspacing running American Racing rims and 35s. No BL and 4" Currie springs. Dropped the pressure as low as 6-8 psi with no issues!

Note my KM3s are 34.75 inches and my wife's JK's Mickeys are 33.75".

Suggest you take a look at the Method MR305NV 17” being run by the Midnight LJR build thread. It’s a fairly unique combination of size, backspacing, and bolt pattern that works well for out jeeps.

I’ll have to read his build thread to see what specs he’s running on his bc I’ve been interested in the method bead grip to keep weight down over a beadlock.
