Removing the front grill V brace

I've removed the grill V brace before, when pulling radiator and condenser. Can it be removed without doing so? FWIW, it needs to be removed to weld on a bracket for the transmission cooler.

It can be removed without removing the radiator and condensor. Doesn't make any difference really since you can't install it back in place with the cooler installed. Easiest way is to just pull the grill. You may be able to push the radiator back far enough to sneak the cooler down into the gap but you will really be stressing the connections for the AC lines to the condensor to get it back that far. You'd likely have to pull the fan blade and clutch to get the radiator back far enough.

We never don't pull the grill, just too easy.
