Howdy All
Here’s The latest :
I’m finally healed up after almost 3 years absence from work
•As mentioned initially, I’m swapping in the 4BT, but it is also powering a built automatic 4L60E ( shifting simply with toggle switches , no arguing please
) , instead of a stick tranny.
• at the time when I ordered the built tranny (2019), I was unable to push in the clutch pedal with my damaged hip joint and due to the unforeseeable surgery date we decided to stay with the automatic
• I’m continuing with my current setup of Cooper STT’s 33-12.5-15
on 3.73 gearing for now
• stronger Dana 44 front and regearing to accommodate 35” tires, is pure dream land at this point , my health issues since 2019 cancelled my initial plans and the wallet vacuum recovery after 2 private surgeries on top of a new driver-side hip joint hasn’t happened yet
• back to the beginning last
Tuesday :
•Removed front sheet metal + bumper and eliminated / marked existing wiring for replacement
• miracles still do happen, I DID NOT break or twisted off a single bolt while removing fenders and grill !!!
•We’re certainly are not x posed to the salt belt, our LJ is 2005
%
•installed 1-3/4” booster blocks on front coil springs to compensate for the additional 160 kg the “li’ll Cummins shaker “ puts on the scale
• (3.5” rubicon express lift kit was installed by PO)
•Next update sometime next week after shoehorning engine/tranny/TC between frame rails, including custom fab/modify engine and trannymounts
