I don't need it to get in, but I use it a lot to sit on when I'm working on the outside so I don't have to bend over.

I keep one in my jeep for the average size people. I don't have a problem as it is the perfect height for me to just slide in.

It's funny, a few days ago we reserved some rental cars for a big family trip to Maui this summer. One is a 4-door JL and my wife said "I really hope it's not yellow." I just chuckled and told her that yellow is an iconic Jeep color. To which she replied, "I don't like it."
