Car pics too cool not to share

I think I remember seeing that car in Rod & Custom 20 years ago. Those Mercedes headlights were the latest trick back then. I don't hate it, but I think white walls and something like Caddy caps would look better than those old Coddingtons. (I think that's what those are) My God I'm old, when did that happen. :sneaky:

I like it, save for the headlights. Is just me or do they make the car look like a bit of a simpleton? :D

They were fun to drive with the way that the trailer steered also. I only got to drive one once but it was a load of fun.

I went to high school with a guy who drove one of those for the Marines in Iraq circa '06. He told me how they were trained and had orders to not stop in traffic, and quite often some small shit-box car would pull out into his convoy and stop, at which point they would drive across whatever part of the car was in the way.

Spent nine hours on the SIL's Nissan yesterday, and got him back on the road. The bulkhead was more severely damaged than initially thought, but we were still able to get it back together and looking reasonably presentable. Actually, it came out quite well, to be honest. With the trim inside the trunk installed, you cannot see any of the damage. There's no wind noise or whistling, so the trunk appears to be sealing well enough. The next rainfall ought to be fairly telling. I had to cut into the trunk lid to install the factory backup camera, but that wasn't really too bad. The final thing to install is the spoiler, as it has the third brake light in it. Might paint the parts to match this summer, but that's not necessarily a priority for this high-milage driver.

When I was there in 04 we had the same standing orders. If they got in your way you just pushed them out of the way or drove over them depending on what your were driving. The gunners had permission to fire on anyone who posed a threat also.

Yup. I remember the Mercedes headlights going into the customs way back when. Can't think of any of 'em where I preferred them over good ol' frenched headlights. Just never was a fan.

'54 Plymouth "Sniper" by Troy & Chip in '98. It's essentially a '54 Plymouth grafted onto a Viper if I remember correctly. It looks dated now, but that was cutting edge back then.

It's always interesting to me to see how things change thru the years. But IMO that is a cool looking car.

Yup. I absolutely remember that Plymouth. The headlights worked better on that car than they did/do on that Chevy coupe, in my opinion.

This one was built by Troy (Rad Rides) in '03. I think it still looks good for today's styles/trends. Minus the shaving, I could see a similar car being built now.

But the interior looks quite dated now.

Yep the exterior looks good even now but that gauge cluster even in 03 would have killed me. I don't like it.
