Until fairly recently, that was the bastard C3 with a value similar to a C4. (parts cars) What happened to that specific car, IDK, but I’ve seen better, more rare cars left to die like that, usually with the owner saying "I'll fix it someday".

On that note, have I told you how I'm going to fix my Impalas someday. :sneaky: If I didn't have to pay the tax man under duress every year, I'd already have some damn nice cars.

It's just sickening to me that people do this type of shit... & BTW that Corvette is For Sale on Market Place.

The headers are literally rusted off the head !

Yes that was the first thing I zeroed in on when I looked at that picture.

Come on now, that's not the old car guy way. We decide what we like and buy on emotion, usually a little spontaneously. Damn the consequences! I've bought 3 like that so far. :sneaky:

@Squatch get in here and defend my decisions.

This is 100% accurate. Sadly, so is this:

I've been that guy. Depending on who you ask, I am that guy. But in defense of some of the people who do that, sometimes that vehicle deteriorating on their property is the last piece of hope that they have to return to their youth, or at least to better times. As long as it exists, there's still hope. Take that away from them, and the dream is dead. I don't like seeing something rotting away either, but I do have a certain understanding of what it means to still have the dream.

I'm that guy too. Look at my TJ, it sat parked for 10 years because I was physically able to work on it. But I refused to sell it because I kept thinking I'd be able to fix it one day.
And then my rebuild has taken 4 years where I thought I'd be done 2 years ago.
So yes I understand but I hate to see something just rot away like that. Even if it was the throwaway years of that model.

Guys, I feel sick. For anyone who doesn't remember, a week or so ago I dropped off my truck for one of my buddies to fix some rust. Well, "bidenomics" have kicked in, and the repair cost is estimated 2x what it was 2 years ago, almost entirely due to material cost.

The fastback car belongs to a friend of my dads. It was originally his mothers' car from new, and given to him when he turned 16. Being young and dumb, he tried to take a curve too fast and rolled the car when he was 16 back in the mid '70s. He has dragged this car around since then, intending to restore it. Well, it's expected to be done this year, but she was a mess. The only things we know are original to the car is the steering wheel, firewall, and most of the front structure. Everything else has been replaced.

That Blazer looks good 10ft. It's a nice driver.
