Button next to OBDII connector

Hi all, I admit Im totally ignorant on wiring and electrical. That said anyone have an idea what this button could be used for? Any response appreciated. It's on a 2006 Rubicon. The wiring on button runs up under dash over the steering column with the rest of the wiring.

It's definitely factory, I can tell you that much.

No idea what it does unless you trace the wires in the harness.

In the meantime, you've got some nasty corrosion on your OBDII pins that you may want to address sooner rather than later.

Ya as best I could see under dash. Thought it was going through firewall but now not so sure

I'd say that OBD2 port has seen a fair amount of mud and water and needs some attention. (Screw the button)

Could it be related to that box on the right labeled rear wiper/washer?

I don’t know if that’s OEM or not as mine didn’t come with a hard top, but I know I don’t have that box under the dash.

By pass button for alarm turn key on push button it would disarm alarm
