What MPG are you getting?

Sounds like you have a 19 gallon tank then, because I do the same thing.

I still have roughly 45-60 miles of range left at that point depending on how early I pitstop for fuel. Fuelly calculates that 14-15 gallons is roughly 200 miles for me based on the recorded MPG of 13-14.5.

That's 250 miles all day long.
Don't be scared. ;)

Personally i've never really understood the benefit of running the vehicle down to fumes. You're going to need to refuel anyways, any mpg gain you achieve from having less weight in fuel, is going to end up costing you when you need gas on the side of the road, just my 2 cents.

Less stops

Me either, and I believe the fuel pump stays cooler and lasts longer when submerged, and when it's not sucking air on turns.

I've done this more times than I can count without issue.

I’m daily driving the TJ since our kiddo took over my Civic, after the Accord we got for her to use got schwacked by thieves.
Been getting 13.5-14.5 very consistently if i keep my foot out of it and cruise at around 60-65. (Which works just fine for me. I’m never in a hurry headed to/from work).

I get better city mileage than I get on the highway. I get around 12mpg city.
Highway is worse around 8-10mpg. I'm running 35's and 5.38's with a 6-speed.
I wish I stayed with 4.88's.

Interesting. I wonder if that’s due to revs being too high with 5.38’s and 35’s?
Joking but not joking, i’ll bet you’d get a small improvement in mpg’s if you went to 37’s and thereby brought your cruising rpm’s down.

The 5.38's are too much for a daily. I wish I had an 8-speed trans. 37's would bring the rpm's down but they would also bring out all the bad things about that size tire.
