I've been reading around the forums to see how much miles folks are getting on a full tank and it seems the average is around 180-210. Well! I'm significantly below that threshold and averaging 90-110 on one tank.
I don't beat on it and always shift around 2100 RPMs. It IS on a lift but I'm not sure how big the tires are, could be 33s. I am getting a CEL for bad cats which I plan on swapping out this week but I don't think a pair of bad cats should significantly kill gas to this point. I don't know if the previous owner regeared but my TJ does seem pretty weak in 5th and 6th gear. Sometimes feels like a Prius despite sounding like it's about to fall apart (got to love all the noises)
Any thoughts?
Be nice. I'm a first time Jeep owner and I'm fully aware our rigs don't get good gas mileage but 90 to 110 miles on a single tank? I may as well be driving M88A2 Hercules
