So you had the issue once before and you fixed it yourself. Then it happens again and it’s the manufactures fault. One thing I’ve always been taught is fix it right the first time. If you knew it was a issue you should have put the clamp on in the first place. Sorry but your rant is invalid.

Dude rubber gets old. Gaskets sometimes leak too. Radiators crack and leak. Hell, sometimes brake hoses fail. Stuff just wears out with age.

Rant or whatever, I appreciate you sharing your experience. My TJ is a 2005 like yours but I have not had such a problem. If I do start experiencing such issues, then your posts will give me a starting point as to the possible source. Also, those that have pointed to the need to stay on top of checking and replacing such critical components, correctly, I will take to heart and stay on top of these maintenance requirements. One of the things I majorly appreciate about this forum, is ALL the wisdom and experience that others with TJ's are more than happy to share with us fellow Jeepers.
