Savvy control arms or Currie control arms?

Looking at Savvy control arms. They have two sets on their website. One is CE-9100SA

The first set features aluminum tubing and is double adjustable. The second is steel and adjustable on one end and costs $65 more. I would think the aluminum and double adjustable are desirable features. Why would anyone pay more for the steel set? They both have johnny joints on both ends (except for one end of the front uppers) and come with hardware. I'm sure I'm missing something so please explain.

The steel set is Curries that Savvy sells.

Get the double adjustable. The steel ones are Currie, not Savvy. Especially if the cost is truly less for the Savvy.

Get the Savvy ones, the double adjustable feature is very very nice to have if you ever have to do any repeated fine tuning if you have any vibration problems etc.

Well, durable…. IOW, will they take as much of a beating?

If the shank on the joints is extended out too far, then one risks bending the shank at the exposed threads. This is true regardless of the link material and more likely on the lower arms subjected to the weight of the Jeep landing on them.
 
Thanks Jj! So then if there are adjustable joints on both ends and extended more than a few threads, the double adjustable links would appear to be less tough. Makes sense.

Considering how infrequent bent control arm shanks are, it takes more than a few exposed threads before this is a realistic concern. Add in that the concern only exists as a potential for those who are landing a hard dynamic load on a control arm.

Given a choice, I would never choose single adjustable control arms.
 
Thanks jj! Yes, I expect that you would have to remove one end of the control arm and would have to move it in half turn increments rather than a fine adjustment.

Which generally means people get frustrated and bored by the repeated process of detatch, twist, reattach, check, detatch, twist, reattach, check,detatch, twist, reattach, check, detatch, twist, reattach, check, detatch, twist, reattach, check, detatch, twist, reattach, check, and give up before the axles are properly adjusted.

Double adjustable is much faster and easier to do the job well.
