Got off the phone with summit racing techs and they said with Eaton e lockers (30 and a 44) and revolution gear chrome moly axle shafts and 51/4 lift I should be able to run 37’s….. anyone disagree?

Not if you plan on using it off road , that setup would be sketchy on the street only.
I’m curious as to your thinking on that, stronger diffs….stronger axles…everybody knows 35’s are the limit for stock diffs why you think it wouldn’t work off road?
Your current axles are geared too high , ( In my opinion ) for the current 35". 37" tires would make this even worse.
Hell, I got 4.56s on mine and wish I had 4.88s... or maybe my engine is just gutless![]()
Deeper gears would feel better , but higher drive shaft speeds have highway issues also . At some point a Jeep is a Jeep and will have some type of issue.
The TJ's modded for great off road use , finally end up being near useless on the highway , and get hauled around on a tandem trailer behind a Cummins dually.![]()
I'm going to have to disagree with that statement. A good built set of 44's will be very capable of 37" tires. My ECGS 44's are capable of up to 40's per ECGS. They do have gusseted C's, 3" x 1/4" tubes, and JK center section so they are not a standard TJ 44. I do know of a TJ with Rubicon 44's that have been trussed that have handled 37's for years without issues. Most here will disagree. Dana 44s (even built) aren't suitable for 37s.
To run 37s and to it right you need Dana 60s.
Anyone that says TJ ball joints can handle 40" tires is a liar and you can quote me.I'm going to have to disagree with that statement. A good built set of 44's will be very capable of 37" tires. To the OP, Summit is lying to you. Call someone like ECGS and talk to them.
They aren't standard TJ ball joints either. They are bigger in diameter where they go into the C's.Anyone that says TJ ball joints can handle 40" tires is a liar and you can quote me.
