So I'm dumb. I had the hard top off when I went to work this morning and didn't check the weather. Halfway thru my day it poured for a good half hour. When I left for the day I had an inch of water in the front foot wells. I ended up driving home that way as I didn't have pliers or a flat head to remove the plugs.

Other than removing the carpet and popping out the plugs, does anyone else have tips on drying out? Anything major I should make sure it's absolutely dry? Anything to look out for?

At this point it won't make a difference. Pop the plugs out, wipe up what you can, and let it sit somewhere hot to dry out.

No you're not dumb. Just remove the plugs and leave it outside for the sun to dry it out. It's summer time and so you should be good for a day of sun shine. The carper is designed to self dry even on the tub without removing them.

I'd say your fine, just let everything dry on its own with top off.
I wouldn't allow repeated rain to hit the dash area though.

You can pull the four rubber plugs without any tools.

Might pay to invest in a pair of these....just in case ;)

Okay, we are just making light of this and I hope the OP is not offended by it. He will call us all idiots now.
Why you gotta be so mean?

But srsly, it's getting better. I pried out the plugs and the water poured out. I pulled it all the mats after work to dry. They are still a bit damp but it's fine. I'll leave them out and let them dry tomorrow.
