Every TJ I've seen equipped in Sahara trim included the otherwise optional "Canyon" 15x8 wheel pkg along with Dana 30/44 axles in 3.73 gearing. That option pkg could also be ordered on Sport models, as I did on my 2000.

Yup , our both of our Sports had that option. but most came with the , " I need a project in my life " Dana -35 . I didn't need to start out with a problem .

Well thanks a lot, Folks! I’m going to check out the way-too-modded ‘06 tomorrow afternoon. BUT… I found an ‘04 with only a 2” OME lift and a few other things on it for the same price, but 3 hours away. If I opt out of the ‘06, which I expect to do, I’ll head over Saturday to look at the ‘04. Wish me luck.
Well… The ‘04 (quite literally) followed me home today. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is loaded with options. CC, auto-dim/compass mirror, subwoofer, blah, blah, blah. I’m happy. It was a six-hour round trip, but worth every mile. Only 84k miles on it.

Not a condemnation but it appears to be an internet gadget build.
Steel wheels- check.
Appearance light bar- check.
Hi-lift mounted in the weather- check.
Webbing grab handles- check. (be aware that the sun rots them and they will drop you on your ass with a quickness when you least need them to)
The only things that would round out the build are a K&N air filter, Optima Yellow Top, and 4 matching Patagonia tires without the matching spare.

Lots of things will be changed over the next several months. But definitely no K&N air filter. Too dusty out here in the desert. (Oops. Guessing this falls into the beat-to-death polarizing-topic category.)
Long history with that ‘97 Truck. K2500-HD. Friend bought it new off the lot. I bought it from him about two years later. Around 2010 I sold it to another friend. He gave it to his daughter after a few years. Daughter called me about eight months ago and asked me if I was interested in having it back. Yup! This time I think I’ll keep it.

It is only polarizing if you lack any critical thought skills and are easily swayed by fancy marketing. Those of us who live where it is dusty and recognize that caked dirt on the throttle butterfly plate is a clear indication of a filter that doesn't, know not to use one.
