Being stuck in a commie state of Califorado, I miss the American flag every where this time of year.

Post up the best Americana you've seen.

I graduated HS in 1976 the 200th anniversary yr. We got a red white and blue tassel along with one with our school’s colors. At our local HS graduation nothing was mention. It was a big deal everywhere back then. Murals pasted on everything and 200th anniversary editions of many products in the stores for weeks leading up to the 4th.
Now for the 250th there is practically nothing just a foot note. Newer generations have little pride in OUR country. Sad to witness the change.
I’ve traveled the world and no country comes close to what we have here.
And yes the American Flag waves on the flagpole in front of my house as it has for 40+ yrs.

Recently found out it's against the law to fly a flag residentially in Germany.

Not quite. My research minutes ago shows that Germans can only fly the official German government flag within a government context. It is not to be flown in a residential context. There are other non-official German flags that are flown wherever people want to. Memory also says there are German legal limits to where the Nazi flag can be displayed.

That's what I was thinking, we fly the stars and stripes at home. Are they not allowed to fly at their respective home.

Edit: they can fly the tricolor shown above.

They can not fly the state flags. Like Bavarian blue and white with the coat of arms.

That's what I was thinking, we fly the stars and stripes at home. Are they not allowed to fly at their respective home.

There is a definition of the design of the official German flag that can only be flown within a government context. If a German feeling flag falls outside that definition, then it is not the official flag that carries those display restrictions.

Is the HOA specifically banning the American flag or is the HOA enforcing an existing rule on permitted decor and design that everyone within that covenant controlled community agreed to by living there? The distinction is important and Steve Hilton should know this.
