Toledo plant, this should be how you built the new Renegades.. all that is left for your engineers to figure out is the "rock slider". That is not too difficult is it? Oh wait, you farmed that out to Italy. Never mind :(

I like the '58 Pontiac! I owned a '57 Star Chief, and a '67 Chevy 1/2-ton version of the GMC. Wish I had kept the Pontiac...
Also had a '57 .... Strato Chief.
The Canuck Pontiac's were built on the Chevrolet floor pan .... used the Chevy motors with Pontiac insignia.
I believe the Yankee Pontiac's were built on the Oldsmobile floor pan and had their own motors. They are a wider/longer car than the Canuck cars. More luxurious too. Nicer cars.

My '57 Poncho ran a 347 V8 in it. My buddy's '57 Olds ran a 371 with the J2 option (three 2 bbl carbs). An interesting little factoid: In 1957, GMC used Pontiac's 347 V8 in their lighter trucks (half-ton and 3/4-ton). If I recall correctly, they used Oldsmobile engines, as well, in their larger trucks, but I'm unsure what years ('50's, I'm fairly certain).
