What did you do to your TJ today?

Changes out the tie rod at the pitman arm.
Installed new bushings in my front Currie trac bar.
Changed all the fluid.

Enough forvtoday.
Well done...time for a well deserved cold one..:beer-toast1:

I put in a new idle air control valve to see if it will solve the idle problem. It settles down slowly sometimes. The old one looked as though it may have been worn.
Seems to have improved so far, time will tell.
1997 TJ SE 2.5, 194,000 miles.
Pretty sure it was the original IACV, I kept it just in case.
I also installed new Mopar mirrors, nice improvement, they stay in place for a change, the old ones jumped around (original equipment, worn out, corroded.)

Can you share where you got new mirrors please?

A couple of odd jobs and loose todo's to get her up for sale, as well as cleaning her up good. Bittersweet

Removed OME transfer case lowering kit and installed Brown Dog 1" Motor Mounts. I should have done this from the start. Installing the new motor mounts were not trouble at all. Even moving the radiator shroud was easy. Big improvement in looks, and even the way it drives. Much more responsive to throttle with the new mounts.

Also removed a rusted upper sway bar flag nut..

Love your wheels! May I ask what kind?

Fixed my heater control today. Since I bought the jeep the fan has always run even when I had the switch turned to off and you could not select any other setting other than defrost, I had the fuse removed so I did not have to listen to the fan blow all summer, but I had to reinstall the fuse while out on Saturday as it was raining and my windows were fogging up. So I figured I would tackle it today.

thoroughly surprised to discover it was just the knob itself that was broke,

I had this from fixing the multi function switch, also use it for tying flies, UV curable resin.

looks kind of neat with the UV light on it,

and just like that it is fixed, we shall see how long it holds up.

Pulled the transfer case, have transmission about ready to pull. Couldn't find my 18" long extension so I will run by Harbor Freight on the way home from work- of course I will find it once I get done and then I will have two! That is how it always seems to work out.

His front bumper is awesome too, never seen another like it!

@Kiwi TJ how about showing off the front of your rig!?
Front Bumper as requested :)...It was polished steel...but I felt it was too much bling so painted the bumper black about 4 years ago.(keeping the grill Chrome though )

Took the TJ to a Mexican restaurant for dinner with some coworkers. When leaving I saw a fellow TJ in the parking lot. I tried to talk to the owner who was sitting in the driver's seat waiting for someone, but he didn't know any English. So, I just gave him a thumbs up and went on my way. He watched me very carefully until I got in my TJ. I think he was checking out my Jeep!
