Did Ford have a factory option to turn them off?I have a heated seat F150 and hated it.

If you are a Texan, there is no world outside of Texas.your in TX, no doubt. come up north for a winter and tell me how you feel
Yes...4 levels. Hot, med, low, offDid Ford have a factory option to turn them off?
Mine turns on as soon as you start the engine. You have to manually turn it off.... every time.Did Ford have a factory option to turn them off?
Sorry, I also lived in Chicago for a while.your in TX, no doubt. come up north for a winter and tell me how you feel
Really? That's incredibly dumb.Mine turns on as soon as you start the engine. You have to manually turn it off.... every time.
Yeah, and then there is like a horizontal bar stacked up hat shows how hot if it's all lit, then you need to push the button once every bar to lower it down.Really? That's incredibly dumb.
OK, here is a fun Q/A thread. What items did you add to your TJ that you think should have come from the factory? Anything that came on the factory that you thought did not belong in there in terms of looks or quality or function? Anything you think they got it right on the later models (JK/JL) that they missed in the TJ? Please include a short justification if you can. Please also remember that stuff like fancy LED headlights may not have been an option back in the day.
I almost wanted to exclude bigger tires and lift from this question, but being that most people go to bigger tires (which needs a lift in most cases), it's perhaps fair that it should be open for this topic. This is not in my list below, but see #2
My nominations are:
- deeper axle gearing for the 42RLE equipped models - this one is a no brainer
- highline fenders - I suspect many people will be OK installing going with slightly bigger tires without a lift if they had highline fenders.
- tummy tuck - for people who go wheeling, this perhaps will be huge
- Cable shifter for the transfer case - I recently had a savvy shifter installed, and I'll never understand why the TJ did not come from the factory this way
- Better halogen headlights - the stock sealed beams are pretty bad. How did they ever approve it for release it I will never understand.
- Better way to mount the mirrors - if you are making a vehicle where people can take the doors off, there needs to be a proper option from the factory for mounting (or relocating) the mirrors
- Beefier interior storage - the TJ should really have come with something similar to tuffy console for the interior. On a vehicle that you expect people to take doors/top off you need atleast one well protected area.
I am curious as to what everyone else thinks.
What do I want? And option for more power and the drive train to stand up to it.
that has to be defective, there is no way that is factory default to be on.......I forgot you were from Obama-land before you went south.Mine turns on as soon as you start the engine. You have to manually turn it off.... every time.
It think there is a sensor that triggers it when it's cold because it does not do it on summer times.that has to be defective, there is no way that is factory default to be on.......I forgot you were from Obama-land before you went south.
and now Idaho (I think) ??? is it the job that takes you all over?It think there is a sensor that triggers it when it's cold because it does not do it on summer times.
Yeah, Chicago for 15+ years
Now in Iowa, yeah I was also in Burley Idaho for 2 years (that was brutal) Just trying to make honest money for living.and now Idaho (I think) ??? is it the job that takes you all over?
It's like Colorado in a way.I was in Chicago for 5 years. It was a great city to live in. I was happy to leave, but always enjoy going back to visit.

There is a place by Marseilles by I-80 by the river, it's okay. That is funny actually. I currently live in Chicago for college and plan on moving to Colorado as soon as I graduate in a few years. I can't stand living in the city right now (and there isn't really anywhere to go wheeling around here!).
