M.O.L.L.E. Organizers: Help!

Hello Everyone,

I need your help and/or ideas. Currently, I have the Smittybilt G.E.A.R system on my OEM seats. On December 5th, I will be getting my new Corbeau Trailcat seats, so I don't want to use the G.E.A.R seat covers.

On Amazon I was thinking about purchasing some netting with .5"x.5 mesh, so I could cut something that was like 12" wide that would run from the roll bar down to the floor. My plan was to put one on each side of the Jeep behind each seat.

While looking for the netting, I found M.O.L.L.E panels in different sizes and most of them had grommets already sewn in for mounting. Some of them even had pockets on the opposite side which is pretty cool.

Has anyone used the M.O.L.L.E panels for organization? How did you mount them? Did/do you like the functionality?

Any other ideas?

I love M.O.L.L.E. gear and I still have some thanks to the US Army. You could just get the overhead Smitty built organizer or the tailgate one if you aren't excited about making your own. On a side note, the JLR does have the M.O.L.L.E. system built in to the seats and I think the cargo area.

I do have the tailgate organizer and love the M.O.L.L.E system. I looked at .5x.5 netting because I was planning on reusing the pouches and other containers from the seat covers. After I saw the M.O.L.L.E panels I thought those would be better than using nets.

I have to figure out something because I have too much crap. I removed the back seat and the rear seat belts. Then I took some metal put a couple of bends in it, drilled some holes and mounted it to the seat belt harness. Once it was mounted I used carabineers and mesh laundry bags to store a lot of stuff.

Sadly I still need more room. The seat storage was used for stuff that I need to get to fairly easily. With the laundry bags and tailgate storage the Jeep has to be stopped and the gate opened.

I do agree about the M.O.L.L.E system though. I think that I will continue that thought and see if I can make the panels work.

I don't have the overhead system. When I purchased the seat covers and tailgate storage, I thought about buying the overhead storage too, but did not because the cost for the amount of storage and I didn't want those bags that close to me head. I just thought I would feel crowded.

I don't want to use the seat covers anymore because they will cover my brand new seats ruining the look and they will mess with the lumbar support.

The main reason for new seats is to hopefully help with my back pain when on the trail. The seat covers are universal so they don't fit flush in the lumbar area. I want to experience as much of the seat as possible.
