Remember when trunks were called a boot and were large enough to hide 4 bodies in them for the ride out to Long Island?

In England, they still are a boot, always were.

If you lived in a large city, there would be at least a couple of Drive-In Theatres.
And if you owned a large car with a huge trunk someone else would buy the gas and the movie ticket because 4 of your friends could hide in the trunk.

Remember when you had to worry the engine would overheat driving up a long grade, and roads had water stations to refill the radiator. The hot summer weekend crawl over the mountain to the beach on highway 17 laid waste to many a cooling system.

no, no, it is driven by something far more sinister,,,, like,,, a need to be connected, I know people who hate to leave their car because the tech is so instant, so good??? Like I remember wanting to stay in my Trans Am, Grand Prix, Mustangs, Corvettes, but that was because the "car" felt so good. Listening to it idle was all I needed. If people today could upgrade their shitter as easily as their car, they'd be on the can forever....

Actually I might invest in Crane or Koehler or ... if they partner with Apple.
