97 TJ Sport fuel filler door mounting flange

The chrome fuel door was falling off my TJ Sport. The nuts that are pressed into the plastic mounting flange have all pulled through but one. I'd like to buy a new flange or collar but am not having any luck finding one.
This is the part that holds the fuel filler neck and also has the nuts to hold on the fuel filler door. I'm just going to call it the Fuel Door Mounting Flange.
Anyone know where I can find just the mounting flange? The fuel door is in good shape.

If so, it's part number 52127675AB. I looked it up though, and it appears it's a discontinued part, so eBay is your best bet unless you call around a bunch of dealers and find someone that might have some new old stock (NOS). That could be time consuming though.

That mounting flange is ALMOST the correct one, but it doesn't have the nuts pressed into the flange for the chrome '97 Sport fuel door to screw into.
I can't find a pic of what I have anywhere.

The stock fuel door is not chrome. In fact, a TJ doesn't have any fuel door on it from the factor. I'm fairly certain what you are describing is an aftermarket fuel door.

Does it look anything like this?

If so, it's aftermarket, and the only way you'll get a replacement part is to buy an entirely new fuel door.

The good thing is that they're pretty darn cheap!

Okay, so my door is aftermarket. Would it be poor form to drill through the quarter panel and use some SS fasteners to hold that door in place? Any reason not to?

That fuel cap you have is a factory Jeep accessory. So while it didn't come stock on the vehicle, the dealership (or a previous owner) installed it at some point.

I see no harm in doing what you described. That's probably your best bet, since there's no way you're going to get a replacement part for this. You may be able to get an entirely brand new fuel door (assuming they still make these, which I doubt), but they don't list individual parts for it anywhere in the part diagrams.
