Actually it is a Sunday drive on a Saturday. LOL

I thought I'd share some pics of my drive today. I left at about 8am this morning and didn't get home till almost 11:30am.

These first few are from Camp Far West CA.

I'm not sure how many images I can actually upload in a single post, so I am going to reply to my own post with more pics. :D Stay tuned. :D

These pics are at a Historical place of interest. At least that is what the sign said. This was leaving the Camp Far West area but I hate to say, I can't remember the name of the road I was on. It lead into Wheatland though. LOL

Zambo? Still no purple pinstripes. You're slacking!

Zambo is the name under the foot of the Purple People Eater. I am guessing it was the artist that came up with the drawing for the album cover? Since the Jeep's theme is The Purple People eater, I decided to name it Zambo. :D

As far as the pin striping. I have this sitting on my desk waiting for the weather to get warm enough to take the old stuff off and then I will be putting it on. :D

And I'm sure I'm not alone in my waiting anxiously for that. Your jeep looks great.

Here's my Sunday drive. It''s the only picture I took with my TJ in it. The other hundred pictures have other people off roading.

I had about a 4 inch long strip of mud on my driver side fender when I got home. Have no idea how it got there. LOL

I don't have anyone to off road with yet. I did join a forum with people in my area but being a female, with a husband, it sometimes can be hard to join in on some things. LOL Hubby rarely takes time off work and I don't wouldn't feel right to just go off and wheel with a bunch of guys when he isn't able to join. I do plan on going to the off road park we have here, but I'm waiting for the ground to dry up a bit. LOL I hate to admit it, but my rear tires are pretty used. I will need to get them replaced before next winter. Once I do, I will feel more comfortable about driving in the mud. :D

I was going to eventually remove the black lettering on the side too, but since I added the small PPE there, and I am going to do the pin striping. I think I will leave the lettering black. I think I would be putting to much purple in a small area if I change it. At least with it being black, it ties in the top and fender guards.

Today was only my second time off road in the past decade. It was at place called Southington Off Road Park where you pay $25 to play from 9AM until sunset. It seemed a kinda high but ended up being well worth it. I bet there was 300 off road vehicles there with about 60% being Jeeps. The ages went from a few near 70 to several dozen toddlers. The amount of women on their own was amazing. I think I saw 20 different vehicles with no men at all. One Cherokee on the side of a trail had one lady working under the hood and another leaning over the front seat giving a 3 yr old girl in a carseat something to snack on.

Make it purple. Mine's going black someday. My wife says we have flat black sign vinyl. The silver looks too much like the faded flares.
