1997 SE 2.5: Looking for upgrade advice

You can run 31's with no lift but a small one is still a better idea. I installed 31" tires on my daughters 2002 TJ last fall.

Find a different shop if they are trying to sell you ProComp stuff.

I will. It was a place my buddy goes too. They told me how great the pro comp is. I will just start To dig into this. First thing is just having fun. I will probably throw the bumper on my buddy gave me. Free is a good price. Then start building around our needs as we use it.

Welcome from another SE owner. I’m in full agreement with keeping it light. I’m running a 3” BDS springs with Rancho 5000x shocks and JKS 1.25” BL and 1” MML. I’m also running 33” Falken Wildpeak MTs with the stock 4.10 gears. The highways are a bit slow, but off-road you wouldn’t know the difference. I’m also running an engine skid and winch.
