Ok I have no power to my coil grey wire my green pulse wire has pulse I jumped across the add relay had power to the grey wire but then no pulse so if I power the grey wire I lose pulse I have installed a new computer and crank sensor and pickup coil in the distributor I need help

You need to let people know year, model, engine type, transmission and anything else that can affect it.
Do you have the factory service manual? For a coil to work, you have a power wire and a second one that goes open to ground as you crank. The hot also goes through the auto shutdown relay, and everything else that makes the engine run, power wise. The other wire uses the Crank and cam sensors to get the computer to ground the circuit to get the field wire to collapse the coil. Are you sure your coil is good? I dont remember any power ever being present on the grouding wire, just open and short to ground.
I would not short the two wires together with a meter, put each wire to ground to test them using a volt ohm meter.
Not positive but every thing I have read says you should have one wire constant 12v with key on and the other wire should pulse when cranking
Do you have a wiring diagram? If so, take a pic and post it and I will try to walk you through where to check. Also what multimeter or test light do you have? take a pic of those if you dont know.
THe factory service manuals are available for dowload, get that, in chapter 8 I think is the wiring, it will give you the color, pin locations and relay locations for everything you need. I guess I need to ask, did you check all of your fuses?
Yes I checked all the fuses I checked my relays I have my 5 volts to my crank sensor
When you get the manual dowloaded, chapter 8w, page 8w 30-4, check fuse 18 in the power distribution center, from there it goes to the auto shutdown relay, working back from the coil. that should get you started. I would print off each page as you go through. Start at the coil and work your way back. Tim
