What did you do to your TJ today?

Little fun before wash

I have the 2.5 so I only have one upstream. I did not replace down stream one. Idles much better and it just all around smooth. Acceration is quicker as well.

Not sure about fuel milage yet but it is my daily driver. Will update at the end of the week.

Installed a dead pedal yesterday. Haven't driven it since, but so far it definitely helps getting in the Jeep. Now I don't have to put all my weight on my elbow on the center console to adjust myself. Totally worth it. My center console doesn't seem too sturdy.

Which one is this? I’ve been considering this as well!

Got new Cooper Discoverer STT Pro’s mounted. Old tires were 9 years old. Noticeable difference, got it up to 70 and was very impressed. View attachment 108371

I like those! I need to get a new set here soon. I like the white letters. I think they look great on white jeeps. How is the noise level at 70? This is my main fear on getting new tires. I don't want really loud ones. I have never had "new" tires, just hand me downs. LOL

I can’t really tell for sure with the top off, but leading up to the freeway it wasn’t bad. It had Coopers on it when I bought it and I liked the look. Kind of wanted to do 33’s but I didn’t want 12.50. Tires stick out too far as it is. Gotta do something with those fenders some day.
Headed on a long drive up north for the weekend, I’ll have the soft top on so I’ll pay attention for tire noise. I’ll report back, if it’s bad.

Thanks, I would sure appreciate the report. :D

I'd like to know as well. Or any other versions. My knee kits the window knob where I naturally sit my foot. I think a dead pedal would remedy that.
It did for me. I have the M.O.R.E.

Having to train myself to use it.

Last night I got my inner shift boot replaced and mounted my new dual USB charger in front of the 4wd shift lever. The PO had a switch there so I opened up the hole with a unibit and popped it in. Haven't wired it yet though.

First time driving post O2 sensor replacement this morning. May be a little more peppy, may be placebo too. I can't feel any air coming in from around the shift boot anymore so hopefully the drive home in 105 deg will be better with less hot air blowing into the cab.

Put everything back together. Pretty sure it works, lol. Dealer sold me atf+4 but gave me gear oil. Good thing I can wait another day.
You wouldn't happen to have the old output shaft "left over" from your new install would you? Looking to do a little project with an output shaft and not only did you just pull one recently, but you're local too!

Installed SpiderwebShade. Love it, although I wish the gap between the edge and the roll bars was smaller. With that said, I don't know why I waited so long to get one. I no longer look like a beet after a day of driving without the top. Also moved the switch for the KC lights from the lower part of the dash in my footwell to the blank area where the ashtray would be. Makes no sense why the OP would put it down there other than laziness, as it was a pain in the ass to find it in the dark when I needed it the most.

Can't imagine ever needing it for anything. It's yours if you want it.

Got the transfer case bolted in tonight. Vent hose, linkage and electrical connectors are done. Front band adjustment on the trans is done. Rain moving in the next couple of days. Need to do trans filter, gasket and rear band adjustment so I can get the skid plate back on. Have to do rear upper arms for pinion angle adjustment once the driveshaft is in. Need to get it at least movable so I can move cars around the house for a big project, but would be nice to have it finished enough to actually drive it. We'll see.
