Just traded my 2005 Rocky Mountain (unmolested) for a 2004 Rubicon with a little over 68,000 miles and auto transmission. From my measurements, it has 2.5" suspension life and a 1" body lift. It also has new Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ 285/75 R16s on it. I am not crazy about them and am considering BFG KO 2s in the same size. I have several questions.

The jeep currently has a much smaller spare tire on the tailgate carrier. Will that carrier carry the 285 tire or is it too much weight? I checked and the MTs weigh 60#s.

I have posted some pics. Does anyone know what brand of rear bumper is on this Jeep? Is has been sprayed with raptor liner and it has hidden the markings. As you can see, the bumper has a "tit" on both sides. Are they for a tire carrier?

I will have a lot of questions about the lift also and will post pics when I post them.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Oh yeah, I am a Pokes fan.

That is a damn fine looking Rubicon! Very, very good purchase!

I absolutely love the white on black.

Thanks Chris. Will my tailgate tire carrier support a 285/75 R16 spare tire or do I need a bumper tire carrier? Thanks

It will indeed support a 285/75R16 tire. I run the same size tires on my Rubicon!

He was referring to the rear. I was asking about the front...
Sorry, I guess I didn't read your post fully. No, I don't know what it is. It is sprayed also, but I will get under and look closer today.
