Does anyone have any feedback on this UCF skid plate?
https://undercoverfab.com/no-body-l...ter/72-locker_pump_mount-no_locker_pump_mountIt says it raises ground clearance over the stock skid by 1.5” with no body lift necessary. Also looked at the high clearance one which does require a body lift or Lopro transmission mount.
I already have the UCF aluminum engine oil pan skid plate so looking to possibly get the transfer skid to complete the belly. Is it worth the $452? Just tired of the shovel without going all out for a TT.

Yes, it's worth it.

But, you might also be looking at a savvy transfer case cable shifter to add to the mix too.
Any other mods needed for that UCF skid plate?

I have the 3/8” aluminum no body lift skid. I’m happy with it but it does raise your TC about 3/4” which in turn raises your exhaust bracket, so be prepared to modify the bracket and adjust your pinion angle. As mentioned consider the Savvy cable shifter as this will be affected. You won’t need a body lift but you will need to do other stuff. Get a new trans mount and change all your fluids while you’re at it.

Doing my SYE and taking off the skid got me thinking about swapping it for something better. Changing fluids all the fluids as well while I’m here even though I just did it last year. This was my transmission mount.

I have one (version without needing the body lift). It's very beefy and I definitely got some clearance over stock. I bought it to help reduce my vibrations after my axle regear and it was one of the two things that helped initially.

I also just ordered their engine skid.

Did you do any of the aforementioned mods to the exhaust hanger?

I had to cut and modify the hanger. It's vehicle dependant, you may not have to.

If you use the lo pro mount you will get vibes transmitted through the tub in the 500-900rpm range.

Only other drawback is the built in crossmember.

No plans for the Lopro mount as I’ve read it can cause some vibrations. Hoping to use stock setup and just switch skids.

I did the UCF extra clearance skid and savvy cable shifter. Because of the Rubicon transfer case I elected to add a 1.25 body lift and needed the extra bit of clearance. Oh mine is a manual 6 speed. Very happy with all my choices.

Just a body lift and cable shifter needed for the extra clearance skid?

I did the body lift to just make the job that much easier and gain a bit of tire clearance. My transfer case shifter was stock linkage and I had hear so much great press of the savvy cable that I had to try it. savvy cable shifter did not disappoint. So much nicer than stock.

I wonder what the height clearance differences are for their three different skid plate options are. A body lift isn’t off the table for me as I probably will be moving on to 33/10.5/15 after this set of 31s.

My skid as it sits in the picture I have 19” to the bottom of the skid from the floor up

Ive got the UCF aluminum high clearance and lo-pro mount. Yes there is a little vibe just off idle, but it smooths out. Happy with it. Only downside is it not being a design that adds a crossmember for ez skid removal.
Outlined in my build thread.
