Okay, Fess Up. Who Has Named Their Jeep? (And What Is It?)

Occasionally people call me that. The first couple times I correct them; "It's C.J.". After that, I just ignore them.
I was given the nickname of C.J. as a young Marine by my Squad Leader. 42 years later, that's still what I go by.
My son-in-law's name is Charles Justin, hence the "CJ". His family calls him "Bubby", which I refuse to do. I've known this kid since he was two years old, and introduced him to my daughter. He can live with me calling him Ceej. He owes me! ;)

I've had mine for close to four years now, but it's just recently been named by a buddy. Chicken Little. lol It went from having 35's, to the stock 29's. One guy said it looked like it had chicken legs, then the next guy said Chicken Little. It's kind of stuck now, lol.

Love to hear the origins of vehicle names. If it has a motor in my house it has a name. My Tacoma “Taco”, wife’s Legacy “Subie”, our boat “Plan B” because of all of the build issues, daughters Civic “Despo” and TJ is “Lunch Lady”.

Speaking of origins of vehicle names, how did your TJ come to be named "Lunch Lady?"

My girls always named vehicles. I could care less, but when they asked what the Jeep's name was going to be, the only thing I could come up with, based on a movie I just saw again the other night, Hey, what about Bob?

Ha! We LOVE that movie! We quote it all the time. "Hot sweats, cold sweats, numb lips, fingernail sensitivity..."

I'm calling mine "Shiloh." It's a name that fits the West, but there's a deeper story. My wife was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Melanoma, so we're walking that road now. Some dear and generous friends learned that I had had to scrap my 2000 Expedition with over 300,000 miles on it, and they also learned of my life-long desire to own a Jeep. They gave me a financial gift, specifically for the purchase of a Jeep, that was close enough to what I needed that I could pull some other resources together and purchase my 2003 TJ. Shiloh is a biblical name and one of its meanings is "His gift."
Best name so far👍🏻
