My son-in-law's name is Charles Justin, hence the "CJ". His family calls him "Bubby", which I refuse to do. I've known this kid since he was two years old, and introduced him to my daughter. He can live with me calling him Ceej. He owes me!Occasionally people call me that. The first couple times I correct them; "It's C.J.". After that, I just ignore them.
I was given the nickname of C.J. as a young Marine by my Squad Leader. 42 years later, that's still what I go by.
Now back to our regularly scheduled thread. My son-in-law's name is Charles Justin, hence the "CJ". His family calls him "Bubby", which I refuse to do. I've known this kid since he was two years old, and introduced him to my daughter. He can live with me calling him Ceej. He owes me!
My daughter will be honored.Ha! Now I have the right word to use when the sages of this group start talking about "Dana-44-long-arm-over-under-42-225s-rock-em-sock-em mods." Now us newbies can say, "You'rrrrrre talkin' Jeepersh."
She should be; "Jeeperish" is brilliant! My daughter will be honored.
Beautiful Jeep! Awesome photo! There is no sand on the tires and no footprints in the sand. Did you lower it there by helicopter?
Speaking of origins of vehicle names, how did your TJ come to be named "Lunch Lady?"Love to hear the origins of vehicle names. If it has a motor in my house it has a name. My Tacoma “Taco”, wife’s Legacy “Subie”, our boat “Plan B” because of all of the build issues, daughters Civic “Despo” and TJ is “Lunch Lady”.
Kids basically.... it was between Rowdy Rhonda, Lunch lady and Big Bertha. We decided on Lunch lady because she’s always taking my money. Lol.Speaking of origins of vehicle names, how did your TJ come to be named "Lunch Lady?"
A black Jeep in Kuwait. I hope you have covered parking at work. Or a garage. I know that has to get blistering hot.The BlackBox.
Ha! We LOVE that movie! We quote it all the time. "Hot sweats, cold sweats, numb lips, fingernail sensitivity..."My girls always named vehicles. I could care less, but when they asked what the Jeep's name was going to be, the only thing I could come up with, based on a movie I just saw again the other night, Hey, what about Bob?
That made me laugh out loud at work hahaSnowflake because it is such a pain in the ass!!!
Best name so farI'm calling mine "Shiloh." It's a name that fits the West, but there's a deeper story. My wife was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Melanoma, so we're walking that road now. Some dear and generous friends learned that I had had to scrap my 2000 Expedition with over 300,000 miles on it, and they also learned of my life-long desire to own a Jeep. They gave me a financial gift, specifically for the purchase of a Jeep, that was close enough to what I needed that I could pull some other resources together and purchase my 2003 TJ. Shiloh is a biblical name and one of its meanings is "His gift."
