2004 Jeep Rubicon

I am always looking to see what TJ's are available in the area, you never know when you're gonna find that diamond. I came across a 2004 Rubicon last night at work. I want to go take a look at it, but cannot until Monday. So I wanted to post it up here and see what you guys think about it, from the photos it looks clean. The only issue i see is the 136,xxx miles, that seems kinda high to me. There also looks to be a lift on it, but I am unsure on the size. The price is about average for the year around here. Take a look, I need some opinions. Thanks guys.

Price seems about average for a Rubi. Only way to know is hands and eyes on.

If it's rust free, that's a hell of a deal.

Well, compared to the Pacific Northwest, where a Rubicon in that condition (without rust) would go for upwards of 19k (easily).

Definitely worth checking out. It is lifted somewhat, there's more space over the tires in the fenderwells than stock. Good tires, frame looks rust free, but only a close look can verify. If clean, I would offer $12k or $12.5k and see what they say.

Average miles for that year would be 144k - 180k as far as KBB & NADA.

Great pictures. Wish everyone would do that when they sell a vehicle.

I spot a power steering leak I think but looks good overall. The lack of rust would make me very interested. I would check the fluids and drive it in 2wd, 4wd, and locked-4wd.

I bought a 2003 Sport with 66K miles, same everything else and it was 15K. I spent another 1,000 replacing the bald tires and another 500 on stuff I didn't see when I bought it from the dealer. Finding a good condition Jeep was really tough. Mine didn't have any rust.

That's the first thing I noticed about it, I think the tires look too small. But I do love those wheels, other than Canyons, they are my favorite.

Take some side photos a little farther away if you get a chance, it'd be interesting to see...

Also, I noticed that it has the switches for the rear wiper & defrost, so it probably came with the hard top, and still may have the wiring plug & washer hose behind the rear driver side roll bar.

I missed that portion of your prior post. That makes me feel better about the somewhat high mileage.

Might turn out to be a gem, with just a bit of miles on it...the best thing about 2004 model TJs is no OPDA issues.

It has the factory switches for the rear wiper which means that it originally came with a hard top.

No, I didn't. I just cannot decide if I want to take on a payment, as I own my current TJ. I know that the payment probably wouldnt be much, but in my mind every little bit going into to plus column helps.
