Man let me tell you how for real I am as a person.
If it were within a few hundred miles of me I would look at it for you and even pay for the vehicle for you so that it doesn't get gone.
I would do it under the caveat that before I paid for it it would have to be good enough that I would want to own it if you didn't take it... And looking at the pictures it is.

You are right the sales guy told me 2 deals fell through on people not getting financing. I have cash of course so if for a $1000 or so on my credit card to hold it; fire up the Eco boost 150 with a friends trailer and take a road trip pull it home. Or fly and drive it home.
These things will bring more than most any financing company will loan based on nada values .

Damn I hate dealing with used car sales guys! I was getting him down a little on price but then I ask him about document fees or any extras they have a $99 document fee and then a $900 dealer prep fee so basically another $1000 to the price plus of course my tax and tags.
Also found out they repainted door handles and bumpers I guess this may be common but I saw old picture of door handles and they looked pretty bad with surface rust so that threw up red flag. Deal not done but I am taking some time to think about it.

Those fees were disclosed in their Autotrader posting, but should be negotiable.
Surface rust on doorhandles is okay, happens to lots of jeeps. I think @Chris replaced his door handles at some point.
That one is a great deal assuming engine and frame are good, and lockers working etc etc. Maybe ask them to video the jeep turning on, driving the Jeep in the city and highway, and also asking them to engage lockers etc.
Yes I did see those fee in autotrader dealers in my area do not have fees that high he said in SW they are on low side of fees.

Just because a shop didn’t put the parts on doesn’t mean they’re not installed correctly. I can’t tell you how many times someone on here too, their vehicle to a shop and it didn’t get put on correctly. That goes for lifts, lockers, wheels, you name it. Shops can be lazy. I’m not saying individuals can’t be lazy too. Only that if you are the one driving it and you put it together, you are going to be more careful than a shop because you don’t want to kill yourself.
If you’re really interested do a Pre Purchase Inspection. It costs a little, but well worth it for an unbiased mechanics point of view. I’ve always got good advice from them when I’m unable to be there myself
I think the pictures look good. I can't see anything to be concerned about, but I also can't be 100% sure. Relative to all similar available Rubis on Autotrader, this one looks best and it's the cheapest.
I would, I almost bought an Audi S6 in Ohio but ended up getting a similar car that was closer due to pricing. Put a REFUNDABLE deposit down and check it out. If it turns out not to be the one then enjoy a mini vacation. Good learning experience as well.
You can post on this forum if any members know a shop around the area. Or just Google jeep shops.
Another option is what I would do, go to the JKS web-site and search for their approved installers in the area. Call them and tell them you are travelling 1500 miles and want to see if they will do a pre purchase inspection for you. Here is that link.

Just call any place that does PPI’s. If they did bad work or were in cahoots with the dealers they’d get reported. It’s very important for them to give unbiased analysis of the cars. It’s how they stay in business. Just look at some reviews and go with the one you feel confident in.
