I have a 97 wrangler with 2 inches of lift and 35s with a front auto locker, so offroad it's really hard to steer easily and on road it still involves some effort in turning. I was wondering if I could put hydro assist on stock y link steering or if I have to beef up the tie rod, and would this prolong the life of power steering pump and gear box? Also where would I'd connect the ram in a y link?and could there be a cheaper way to making steering easier?

You would absolutely have to upgrade your steering. You should have upgraded your steering when putting on the 35s

Your Profile is empty but you installed 35" tires with just a 2" suspension lift? If you are still running the stock fenders you do NOT have enough clearance for those 35's. For 35's and factory fenders you want 5" of additional clearance, like a 4" suspension lift plus a 1" body lift. And as above, you need to at least replace the factory tie rod with a stronger replacement or those 35's will bend your factory tie rod.

i'm so tight with linkages when compressed IDK if i can even fit it. there are no good words about my steering gear, and that's what worries me most.....straining it.
i'm not cool with listing parts to cheat a kit that's sold by a fellow forums member.
but if we want to work around and figure it out on our own with clues, that's a different animal.

TBH i've not fit it yet. front ends still under a tarp and i still need to mount frame links. few things left to work yet. i got a JK 44 rubi axle too, not exactly equal to what yall are dealing with
sorry, maybe i understand it wrong. i assumed this kit was offered through his business, at least that's where i sought to find it. i've seen what PSC has to offer as well as Redneck ram.
some PSC parts were mentioned, but since i had nothing more than a description to go with, i assumed this "nearly bolt on" kit had been modified different from what PSC offered. this would make it his recipe and not mine to offer up, that's all.
i cannot find the article again or i'd be sure to refresh my memory.

i would like to see more info about this kit though. is it different than whats offered through PSC?
The kit is a combination. Buy parts from Blaine and then tell PSC you are using those parts and they sell you the remainder of what you need.
Or something like that. Since I’m not a member of the other forum I’ve seen it on it’s not as easy to follow.
I don't mind if folks want to do it however. I'll even post up a how to and what is needed if anyone needs it. HA isn't cheap and the way I do it even less so since I don't skimp on anything that I have found to solve a problem and moved it forward to the next build.
mrblaine just did the psc upgrade to my LJ, great work, very professional install, the old box was tired and struggled to handle the larger tires, not a problem now
